The Good, Bad, and Ugly Summer '09

The UGLY-

~ my poor hanging baskets started out GORGEOUS and then.... well lets just say when its really hot you have to water them more then I did
~ our squash plants..... little bugs everywhere. Just the thought makes me want to puke
~ my favorite grassy plant in the front flower garden, grew a little bigger then I wanted so I decided to give it a little trim, I'll just say there is another reason I didn't go to hair school
~ red Popsicle stain on my once new carpet (why is it so hard for a 2 year old to STAY in the kitchen to eat anything?)
~ my hair, having it short is great until you want to grow it out!

The BAD-

~ Michael's ankle, finally recovering
~ ALL day sickness ( whose bright idea was to give us pregnant ladies the notion the it would just last in the morning)
~ my desire to take a nap rather then do well almost anything :)
~keeping up with laundry and even more important the blog
~staying up too late and sleeping in too long!

The GOOD-

~ Camping trips
~ Cobbler nights with the neighbors
~ Swimming pool in the backyard
~ Family vacation to Mt Rushmore and Yellowstone
~ my tomato plants!
~ Still to come the Paxman family campout!!
~ I could go on because it has been a great summer, but its also quiet time and I think I might just lay down for a bit :)

Dang! I haven't seen you guys FOREVER! But I suppose that the babe keeping you in bed on the 4th of July was part of the problem. Hope the sickness is coming to an end and I don't know...maybe we will see each other sometime...soon? Doubt it! We should have a double family campout...well, maybe that would be too much. I don't know! Tell the fam hi! (Including Landon and Haley!)

I like how you started out with the ugly, so you could end with the good! And game night with the Livingston's should have been included in the GOOD! Are you getting to where you are feeling better? When are you due? I too hate the misconception that you ought to only be sick in the mornings--what's the rest of the day when you are feeling like junk then? Sounds like you have had a good summer, aside from a few dead plants. We need to hang out, I am having Monsen withdrawls. :0)

Hope you start feeling better soon. It's all worth it when you get to hold the little guy/girl.

Have you had lots of grasshoppers this summer?
