Party Treats??

Last week McKenna and Brynlee came up with the idea of having a party in McKennas room. They talked about it all week and I used it as leverage as MUCH as I could. The big day finally arrived. Sleeping bags and movies were set-up just waiting for Daddy to get home. I decided that I would surprise them and being the great Mom that I am told them that they could each pick a treat to share during the 2 movies they chose, which happened to be Sky Dancers, and Care Bears... (a whole other post :)I have to say I was shocked and a little concerned at their choices.

Raigynns choice; GUMMY BEARS... okay not to big of a deal, I like gummy bears occasionally and she is almost 3. Not totally up on exactly what is a "real" treat. She thinks her vitamins are candy :)
Brynlees choice: JOLLY RANCHERS. Ummmm lets see with everything available on the candy isle and these appealed to her the MOST? What can I say I am a little worried.
McKennas choice: DINNER MINTS. I kid you not the girl chose DINNER MINTS. What can I even say to that. Skittles, licorice, Swedish fish, milk duds, whoppers, and dinner mints. See they don't even belong in the same sentence. But apparently for McKenna they do.

So being the great Mom and example that I am I decided to choose a REAL treat: M&M's
Hopefully their choice in "treats" doesn't reflect the kind of Mom I am. Oh well we had a great time watching our movies and eating our special "treats"!

The treat selection got worse as they got older. Remind me not to EVER have your girls pick out a treat for me LOL!

I am still laughing!!!!! My kids learned at an all to early age of what a good treat is.

Ha! Ha! That is awesome! But don't be hatin' the jolly ranchers...I totally bribed my students with them today. They loved me because of it! YES! Good work, mom!

You're kids need to get out more! :) Dinner mints will always remind me of rides home from Golden Corral. I can't imagine 'munching' on them during a movie.

That is so funny. My kids always pick out weird treats when they go with their grandparents. I've been trying to teach them to go for the good stuff. :)

At least I know what to fill my goodie jar with! Just what the other 10 will pick out of that mix is a mystery!
