#1- Have any of you seen Jamie Oliver's food revolution? Interesting to say the least. One thing that surprised me was that the school district counts french fries as a veggie. Um too bad our bodies dont!
#2- We had family night about having a "House of Order". For the activity we mated socks. The WHOLE basket is now empty!! Why didn't I think of this earlier? To put it mildly I felt pure JOY throwing all the socks away that didn't have a match. Mike asked if I was sure I wanted them out. YES DEAR, I AM MORE THEN SURE!
#3- Grwing up my family always called it "mating" socks not "matching" socks. Kinda weird if ya think about it. I wonder what other people call it?
#4- I LOVE to bike. The fresh air, the wind in my hair, the speed.... EVERYTHING.
#5- I am trying to run again. Hmmmmmmm lets say that the love isn't quite there. As soon as I can breathe and run at the same time I am sure that it will be (as much as possible of course)
#6- I am thinking about homeschooling the chillins. I have alot of research to do but for now the idea feels right.
#7- McKenna is turning 8 in a few weeks and I am so excited for her. She cant wait to go to activity days and I cant wait to pick out her baptism dress.
#8- Family games of late, "Connect Four" and "Candyland" so happy that Chutes and Ladders is no longer a favorite. I DESPISE that game.
#9- I bought a bag of lemon-heads the other night. It was a flash back to Junior High. My mouth is salivating just thinking about biting down on one. Go ahead try and see if you get the same response. If not its time you buy yourself some lemon-heads!
#10- This morning I went to Wal-Mart for a FEW things. $113.00 dollars later I came out. What is it about that store?

I can't believe you'd rather play Candy Land over chutes and ladders. I can't stand Candy land. Easton ends up playing with his marker guy in all the lands and we don't make it past the first 2 turns. Yes, I think the term 'mating socks' is so weird, but I say it too!
So glad when you update your blog! It's fun to hear from you. I match socks, not mate socks, but that's just me. It does seem like they mate sometimes, and have one rouge offspring that can never be paired. Although, if you buy several socks that are the same, when you toss one, you have to keep it's match (mate) incase you have to toss another sock later. Then instead of loosing two pairs, you've only lost one pair of socks. I know this sounds simple, but I feel like I have outsmarted the sock people when I do this.
And I love walmart. I can spend $50 just going for milk.
I match socks, but mating socks made me laugh a little...if only socks would multiply! :o) I'm glad I'm not the only one that goes to walmart and over $100 later isn't 100% sure how that happened! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your randomness...it's always some of my favorite blogs :o)
Wow thinking about lemon heads really does make you mouth water. I had one just the other day. Weird. I hate Wal Mart for that very reason. I never come out of there less than $100 especially on grocery day. And yes I do watch Jamie. Those people also count Pizza as a whole grain. Go figure.
You think of 10 things to write about and I can't find my shoes, phone, brain, kids... Does the Mommy Brain wear off?
great post. Love all the things that go through a Mom's head. I have had some of the same thoughts.
We always said "mating socks" growing up, too. I also have thought about homeschooling Hunter. I think his Kindergarten year has pretty much been a waste. He is so smart, he needs some serious math and science, and reading. I don't think I could ever homeschool Preslie. Our personalities would never work in the same house all day. Plus, she would never miss out on seeing all her classmates. Good luck and good for you taking charge of your children's education.
OH, and love Jamie Oliver. It makes you really think about the crap we let our kids (and ourselves) put in our bodies. Since that show, I can't stomach the thought of eating a chicken nugget.
Its been a while since I've read your blog. Sorry I haven't kept up very well. Holland is such a cute name, and it goes well with her cute face! She is adorable. Congratulations! I loved your comment about the hide and seek for pacifiers. It is the truth. I hope all is well, your girls sure are growing up fast.
I too love your randomness, you say it just the way I think it!
