Well we finally did it! Yesterday Mike and I signed the closing papers for our very first House! It was a little nerve racking but all in all it was a good experience. We are hoping to get the keys tonight and move in this Saturday! After watching way too many episodes of House Hunters I thought we would look at 5 houses, like 3, put an offer on one, then move in and within a weeks. Boy was I wrong! Michael and I probably looked at 20 homes, liked 4, made an offer on one then a counter-offer, another counter offer and finally an agreement. On the TV show they also fail to show you all of the documents you need , the time it takes to get them all together, the stress of knowing that if you put in an offer and if they accept you will have to make that payment, taxes, finding home owners insurance, hooking up all the utilities, decorating and painting, seeing how much you will pay in interest after the life of the loan ( that was a killer!). Needless to say "house hunting" looks a lot easier on TV. So good Luck to all the future house hunters and consider this your warning, it is stressful, time consuming, and crazy at times but still so worth it. I am so HAPPY to be a new HOMEOWNER! (Well us and the bank :) I will post pics and tell you all about it when I am not trying to pack and move for the third time this year!! By the way I still love watching House Hunters! I just have a new perspective of it all!

Hey, I was taking a break from all the things I need to do and blog hopping and I don't really know how I got to yours but somehow I found it. Weird I know. I hope you don't mind that I check up on yours every so often. It was so fun to see what you were up to. A house yeah!! I will agree with you on the whole house hunting stuff though. I am really sad we never got to catch up while you were still here in logan. take care, KRisti
