So I have been feeling the need to become a little better about running to the store everytime I need something. So today I didn't have any bread. Perfect....I like to bake and I have nothing else really that needs to be done. Well after starting to make the recipe I noticed I didn't have any yeast-no problem I 'll ask Annika. Okay moving on I don't have enough salt. Oh great! Thankfully I live by some great neighbors so I am able to round some up. So after trying 3 seperate times to make my yeast "active" I realize that this yeast is so dead! I round my girlies up to go to the store. To buy yeast for the bread that I didn't want to have to run to the store for. Am I making any sense? While I am at the store I just buy a few loaves of bread (i'm already there why not?) and of course some yeast. By the time I get home its time for dinner then of course the nightly routine. I got my bread in the oven around 9:30p.m. Of course I wanted Mike to try it. So after 2 bites we both needed some honey. Needless to say it wasn't the greatest. So what can I take away from this bread making fiasco? Only bake when you want to and not neccasarily when you need to. It just gets to stressful! There is a reason why there is a grocey store on almost every corner! By the way I need a good whole wheat recipe for bread. I am certain it was the recipe not the cook. I really do like to bake so I am not giving up! My house smelled amazing so it is worth trying again even for the smell!

Hang in there sweetie, you'll get there and besides, everyone could use a door stop or two!!! Mom
nothing more frustrating that making something that doesn't turn out! the second most annoying thing is starting into a recipe and not having an ingredient (or two)! cute post.
Atleast you tried!!! The closest I've ever gotten to making bread, is bannana nut bread. And although it's yummy, not exactly diet friendly!
I love it!! It sounds like something that would happen to me! Better luck next time :)
