HELP! I'm NOT Ready!

Today is decision day and I am not ready. I have thought alot about this and almost "stressed" out about it. I was really bummed when they didn't address this at General Conference ;) What is it that I am almost stressing about you wonder? Could it be running the 1/2 marathon, could it be what to make for breakfast? Maybe it is what to clean first this fine snowy morning, what to wear today and how can I convince McKenna that one day she will get to wear her short sleeve shirts? Sheesh! There is alot going on for this stay at home Mommy! But no, it is none of these. Okay I'll spare you the details of my life and get straight to the dilemma.....Track 1 or 2 for McKenna. For those of you who went to school in Ftn Green (J/K honey) The school has two different times that you go track 1 starts at 8:15 and track 2 starts at 9:30 get it? I haven't heard alot about either teacher so that doesn't help, McKennas friend is going track 1 and her cousin is track 2. Kenna really isn't a morning person but going at 9:30 and getting home at 3:30 doesn't sound that great either. I am totally confused. I am not just worried about the times I want her to be in where she can have good friends and still loves school. Give me your thoughts ASAP! I have to hand it in today! (yes, I am a procrastinator)

Track 2, hands down. The day will come soon enough that you'll have to get up early. And being a morning girl IS an issue for McKenna! If you go track 2, you'll have time to get all the kids ready for the day and then run errands, go shopping, all those busy mom things and still be back home in plenty of time when she gets out of school. That's my two cents! Mom

"This is a request-not a guarantee" that is what your form says...so just remember that whatever you pick may not be what you get after all the stress you put into deciding. Your mom had good advice. If you know it will be a battle to get Kenna up and ready (not to mention the rest of you) then go for the later time. But then again, you are a morning person, so maybe you are up early enough to get everyone ready. If she can go down for an earlier bedtime, then maybe she will be able to get up earlier? You are the momma, and you know what will be best. Also, McKenna will make friends no matter WHAT class she is in. This early in her education won't make that big of a difference as to which teacher she has. So go with your motherly instincts and hand in the dang form! :) love ya.

My kids aren't even in school yet, so I wouldn't have been much help anyway...so what did you decide?

Ok, it's probably too late for the teacher's advice, but here it is. At my school, the track's are set by the teachers and not a choice by the parents. The lower readers come in at the first track so they have more focusing power. The higher readers come in on the second track and have reading later in the day when they don't need as much concentration. If McKenna is a good reader it doesn't really matter, but if she was lower reader and kinda squirrelly in the afternoons, you would want the first track. So, since your kid is smart, it doesn't matter. Either way, I think you should do the 2nd track.:)
