After Mike and I decided to move back up to Logan for Grad school we started looking for apts. Which there are a slew of in Logan! We narrowed our search down to 2 different apts. One of them was bigger and less rent but had no grassy area to play on and the other was smaller and of course a little more in rent but had a swing set and a big are for McKenna to play. (I was about 5 months prego with Brynlee) After going and seeing them both we decided to just sit and kinda feel it out. We were already at the smaller of the two so we just sat on the grass to talk. Then it happened the moment of inspirtation :) We noticed that the family that we would be living above had a whole pile of sheds. Just in case you city folk don't know what a shed is it is the antler that falls off of the deer during the late winter/early spring months so that they can grow bigger better ones. Okay not the best description but you get the idea. Moving on to our story...... We knew that if they had antlers and a stroller out on their porch we would be destined to be friends. We decided to take the apartment and then the friendship began. We had alot of fun having barbecues, scrapbooking, swapping babysitting, camping, late night chats, and watching our families grow together. Mike and Dax both were doing their Masters in Wildlife Biology and loved to hunt so they were just as chatty (if not more) then Tristie and I. Our kids got along great for the most part and we loved living there. Now that both families have grown up jobs we aren't able to see them as much as we would like to. They were able/willing to drive all the way out here to see us last week and we had a great time. Eating, talking and, just relaxing like we used to. The kids were a little shy for the first 60 seconds then Preslie and McKenna were off arm in arm. Later my Mom asked of I had the house all spic and span for them to see it and I said, "Mom, its Tristie. Trust me she has seen me and my house at its worst" I am so grateful to have a friends like that. Even though our relationship with the Mangus family is different then it used to be I hope that we can continue it and enjoy the many more ups and downs that we will both go through!

Nice. Makes me think of the good friends I have that fit that bill.
Gotta Love having great friends!
Love the new background - looks great!
Friends like that are one in a million! So when will it be your turn to drive and see them? :0)
Oh my wordy! I didn't even notice that you had changed your background until after I left my last post....I love it! so cute!!!
Seriously, do these people have 3 kids all your kids' ages? It's kinda like your twin family. Really, how many people have Mike's major, too? Too bad they don't live closer.
Nice background!
I hate the background (totally kidding!) Your blog always looks so pretty, but dangit slow that slide show down it was like trying to watch a horse raise through a knot in the fence
Tiffany, thanks for the post! We had a fun visit with you guys, although it was too short! We sure did get spoiled having you guys as neighbors. We are pretty much neighbor snobs now. No one is good enough for us, now that we've had the best! (I'm not even kidding about that.) I love the picture I got of the kids and Preslie and McKenna are holding hands and they all have chocolate faces. It just melts my heart! Tiff, I will always treasure the time we lived so close. Thank you so much for choosing to come live by the crazy neighbors with the piles of sheds and strollers! Love Tristie
