What was your favorite part of the day? "Having Lunch in the cafeteria"
What was the most scary part? "When I was getting ready to go"
Did you meet new friends? "yes" How many? "just 1"
What do you like about your teacher? "We get to read lots and lots of books first the easy books then the hard and harder books"
Did you miss Mommy as much as she missed you? "kind of" "I mean, alot"
What are you going to learn this year? "Our poem, you have to practice it everyday"
Well I have to admit I was a little emotional :) I was sad to see my little girl walk through the doors of the "big elementary" She was more then anxious for me to stop hugging and kissing her. The emotional day soon ended when I went to the store with only 1 because Brynlee was playing with a friend. I think I could get used to all day school......... eventually :)

Wow a 1st grader. All day school I am somewhat jealous. Kaitlyn starts kindergarten, but not for 2 more weeks. She looks so cute!!!

What a doll, love the outfit! They never prepare you for this part, watching them walk away from you for all day, it's a tough one. Before you know it she'll be telling you not to get so emotional as she's getting ready to go away to college. She'll reassure you of summer, which starts off with her wedding!!

Kids grow up sp fast so enjoy them now and take lots of pictures. She really looks good. I was pleased to see she was "dressed"for school. Dress of the day here is shorts and T-shirts, ugh!!
She looked adorable! I can imagine that it would be hard for mommies to let their little ones go all day. I'm sure she'll do great! I just can't believe you have a daughter in first grade!

I think the 2nd was almost worst then the 1st! She was a little too anxious to get to school. Mom, you can blame Mike for that one :) Besides we have made up for it living with you with kids, right?
Oh yeah, I know the back pack is HUGE but it is much better then having Hannah Montana all over it!
She is an absolute DOLL! I love the picture of her with her dad. Oh, and GOOD CALL on the Hannah Montana backpack.
So, I love the backpack, cause Averee picked out the same one for her kindergarten this year! And I was all the same way, this one's great cause it doesn't have some stupid characters face plastered all over it. Averee starts school on Monday, so we'll see how I handle it.
Yes, you're right. And how could I be sad with such beautiful grandchildren as a result!!
