Anita.....Top this!

Most of us has read a book by Anita Stansfield or at least the stlye of her writing. You know the type where everything is going wrong, yet everything in the end works out perfectly, not just good but perfectly. Its pretty annoying most of the time because generally speaking life just doesn't happen like that. But yesterday WAS an "Anita" day in real life for my sister and my bro 'n law.(The perfect part) My Bro 'n law, Homer and sister, Whitney and their son, Jerick were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple. Jerick was an angel. He was reverent and had just enough comic relief that we all knew he was a rambunctious 3 year old. The sealing was beautiful and kept up with the "anita" criteria that would be expected. The weather was perfect so after all of the perfect photos taken of the happy little family we decided to walk to the Olive Garden for lunch. In case you didn't already know Whitney is 9 months pregnant and wearing boots. (I am not sure Anita would have approved on that one)So the walk to the Olive Garden was nice. (because we are going with an "Anita" day, we'll say that she loved the walk and never regretted that decision whether that is true or not :) Once we get to our destination for lunch we find out that there is a 30 minute wait. We may be having an "anita" day but we are not characters in a book who never eat! We were all starving so the host brings out us all a warm bread sticks to enjoy while we wait. Let me tell you in all my Olive Garden waiting time they have NEVER brought out breadsticks...... do I even need to say "anita" day. After we were seated and the waitresses had brought our food Whitney started to get that look in her eye. For those of you that have gone into labor or seen someone go into labor you know EXACTLY the look I am talking about. Whitney walked outside a few times and then announced that she needed to leave. At this point her day is turning into less then an "anita" day because of the pain that she is experiencing. But because I am the wirter I can just just fast forward through the epidural, water breakage, and go straight to the 3 pushes, yes I said 3 pushes before their beautiful daughter was born.

Did I mention that this day is their 4 year anniversary, now their sealing anniversary, and topping it all off their first daughters birthday (they already have a son) Lets be real Anita, you could have never pulled this story off!

Congratulations to Homer and Whitney for their beautiful daughter, being sealed in the Temple, and your 4 year anniversary all in one day!! We LOVE you and are so proud of you!

Well, we live in the real world I guess. My new little niece is having a hard time with an infection and keeping her little lungs inflated. They have her on a c-pap and she seems to be doing alot better this morning. Please keep her in your prayers!

Bailey was born on our 4 year anniversary too! What's their little girls name--for my prayers you know? And next time you are in A.F. could you bring Tyler's Leapster--he's been asking to go out to your house & get it EVERY DAY!

Thanks for the great update. What an exciting day, on all sides. We are so sorry we couldn't be there for them, but getting time off in the middle of the week and then trveling is someitmes impossible. Tell them congrats from your Uncle and Aunt in Colorado. Maybe we can see you in 2 weeks when we come up! Love to all.

I agree with Rheanna. I think that Homer and Whitney should have consulted with you and thought about using the name Anita! Loved the post. Now my post about this day will seem pretty boring. Good thing I have a camera, huh?

That was a great story, I totally think you could give "anita" a good run for her money! That's awesome about the triple meaning for that day! Unbelievable!! :)

Great day for all. Glad you all have a good sense of humor to see it all as an "Anita Day". And all does work out in the end.

Wish I was there with you all...

Incredible day. I can't even imagine how tired your sister must have been by the end emotionally and physically.
