Rambling......

Okay, another post about pregnancy and babies. What can I say its on my mind lately :) Today I went shopping for some new maternity jeans. I must say that the selection I have now-a-days compared to what it was with McKenna is HUGE!! I swear back in the day the only maternity pants you could find where the full belly panel and that was it. Today I found, low rise, mid-belly, full panel, secret panel, stretchy on just sides, you name it and they make it. There were even some comfy and cute ones.... imagine that COMFY and CUTE. A woman must be in charge of production these days.

I had the same Doctor with my first 3 pregnancies. I really liked her and felt like I knew what was coming. I now have a new younger male Doc. I like him..... its weird because he is just a few years older then Mike and I but seems to have alot of experience. Mike says he seems a little "fa,fa" to him. Yep, those were his exact words. A little fa, fa!

With the delivery of McKenna and Brynlee things went about the same, I pushed them out, the Doc cleaned them off, and handed them to me all bundled in a nice warm blanket. So with Raigynn I was expecting the same thing. Same Doc same procedure RIGHT? I push, you clean, you wrap baby in warm blanket, I snuggle. So with Raigynn I was a little shocked when they handed her to me right from the get-go. NO wipe down, no towel, and no warm blanket. Nothing. All slimy and bloody..... I was thinking EWWWWW and then trying to talk myself into the "moment". Thankfully she wont remember the look my face probably had. But honestly how could I cuddle my baby when she was covered in all of THAT! I know I sound hard hearted admitting this but really.... I pushed her out the least you can do is wipe her down!!

I hope the new Doc gets it right! You think I should warn him of my expectations of the whole wipe down BEFORE I snuggle?

That's funny. They just handed Laynee to me all gross so I don't know other wise. They just threw her up on my chest and I started crying, thinking what the heck am I going to do now? I have since gotten over that feeling.

I would say something to your doc. That whole part has always grossed me out, but I always get my babies clean and warm! Last night was really great, and I hope you are feeling better.

LOL--you crack me up lady. I actually love getting them all slimy--guess I am just creepy that way. :) I went shopping for maternity clothes last night with Mike, and realized I should NEVER bring him shopping, especially for maternity clothes. ha.

Haha! It's alright, I think we all have moments like that and they are always good for a laugh later-thankfully they are too small to know the difference ;o)
So thrilled for you that you found some awesome, comfy jeans---that makes all the difference in a pregnancy ;o)

You should definitely go through a "birth plan" with your doctor. Tell him/her everything that you expect and hope for in the delivery. Take charge. You should be in charge. Most doctors will discuss it with you in one of your final appointments. Write it down ahead of time if you're afraid that you'll forget something. Good luck.

I think this is officially the funniest post you've ever done. We started with maternity jeans and ended up with a slimy baby.I guess that's the totality of a pregnancy if you think about it. Way funny!
