Woman of Steel Triathlon

Finally got to experience the real version of the Woman of Steel Triathlon. If you remember last year we had to do run a du-athalon. Not cool. So I was so excited to complete this Tri. There were a group of us ladies that knew each other. Made for some fun awaiting the start and also added to the competition a little bit :) So proud of the ladies I trained with. We had so much fun going to spin classes then hitting the freezing cold pool water together! Thanks for inspiring me gals.

I had a few goals set for myself and managed to succeed all of them plus a few more surprises. I know SHOCKER right. The night before I had some ---ALOT--- of bike stress. Thanks to my new best friend Dave I got to ride a killer bike that was awesome. Seriously the bike was the best part. Love passing people and feeling the wind on my face. Gotta get me one ASAP.
My sister ROCKED the race. SO proud of her and her determination.Talk about a competitor! Michelle, Haley, and I made some Chuck Norris tri- shirts. They were perfect.

Can't ya just tell how much my family LOVED being there. Hahaha they were awesome there cheering me on. Don't know why I didn't get my Moms picture but she was there too. Such a pick me up in the middle of a race to know your family will be there waiting for you, giving high fives, and big smiles. McKenna is now patiently awaiting her first attempt at competing in a tri. I told her it would be a few years but that one day I'll be there cheering her on or better yet trying to beat her time :)
