Going Public!

Okay, so there are somethings that I do want private :) see post below. But going public with this subject I think-I hope will be helpful. This is a sticky subject for me but also one that I am very passionate about. My health. If any of you know me I love to go to the gym and I try to eat healthy. A few years ago while I was at the gym I overheard some of the Grandmas talking (naked of course, you know how the locker rooms get:) anyways they were telling each others their recent weight loss totals and what their goals were and some of the struggles that they were having. It made me so sad for them! I don't want to be trying to lose weight my whole life. I realize that after a baby is very different but still there are so many things to worry about that I don't want my weight to always be on the list. (Okay I am getting a little uncomfortable but I am going to plug through!) So once again it has been a year since the baby and I still have "baby" weight to lose. I have lost most of it but this pesky 15 pounds is killing me! I really want to fit into my pre-preg summer clothes so I am making a few goals. I am not giving away any numbers so forget it! I am not that public! But I am sharing my goals in order to remind myself of them and to be held accountable to myself and you. I have written them down before but not for every one to see! My goal is to lose 1.5 lbs a week which isn't too radical so by the end of May I should be feeling good! So here are my goals
*Drink 8 cups of water a day
*Exercise daily-yoga, bands, or the gym, running (slowly albeit) outside
*drink a green drink daily ( all fresh green veggies in your fridge blended together)
*pay attn to hunger cues
*eat six small meals a day.- I need some suggestions for this one!
*enjoy all of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
Okay are you weirded out by this post? Don't worry I am a too! So here is to the next 11 weeks of FUN! Now i just have to publish this. i guess I'll close my eyes and click...

I cant believe I really published this! Oh yeah another goal I forgot is to journal everything I eat. No worries though. On paper not through the blog!

Tiffany, you rock. If anyone can stick to a goal it's you. You are so dedicated to making things happen. Here is a yummy wrap idea that I paid almost $5 to try once. So I reproduced it. It's very satisfying...

-1 low fat flat wrap (or pita, or tortilla)
-Fat free garden vegetable cream cheese
-Fresh spinach leaves
-Slices of cucumber
-Slices of tomatoes
-deli turkey breast

Place how ever much of each you like into your wrap and roll 'er up. Enjoy with a glass of V8 or water.

GO you. I know about those extra LB's and am also trying to get rid of them with a little diet and exercise. I have been walking/running with Amy Hampton at 8:00 most nights. We go for 1 hour. IF you want to come let me know.

Yesterday, one of my small meals was 5 cookies as I ran out the door to work, I think I know why my weight isn't melting off!

Those sound like awesome goals. Thanks for always helping all of us be healthier! I'm going to try implementing some of your goals for me.

you know blogs are to inspire others, too. I am eating a bag of reeces pieces eggs right now...so yeah, it is good to blog your goals so that your readers can learn from you. :)

I know you don't think so, but you really do look healthy right now. If there's more you want to loose, you know I'm here for you. Just remember something you've told me more than once in the past, it's just a NUMBER!!! Means nothing in the scheme of things. Thanks for you're support, you're a great example for all of us!
