New Muscles ?

Apparently the muscles you use to run are NOT the same muscles that assist when you do lunges or push-ups. I'm ticked I should have been warned ;). I thought for sure that swinging my arms to the side while running would give me some seriuosly toned arms. Boy was I WRONG!....... Hopefully there wont be alot of movement required today if you know what I mean.

Whoever thought it would take more than kind of exercise to work out the whole body?!! I mean are you telling me that those lovely people on infomercials for exercise machines have mislead me?!! Just one motion does it all they say -- I'm outraged!!

Guess this makes you wish you'd taken Anatomy and Physiology school huh? Sorry for the surprise. I just found out when we did the 10K that your hips assist you when you run! Anat and Phys didn't do jack for me!:)

Nothing like lunges to make it hurt to sit down for a few days! At least you know it's doing something right? Or at least we hope it is for all that PAIN!! No pain, no gain--so does that mean a lot of pain, a lot of gain?! I love your pictures to illustrate your point.

Ha,Ha. We had a fitness night with the cub scouts. I whooped them on the sit-ups but I couldn't do a single push-up. They thought I was just being funny when I dropped on my chest and couldn't get up. What a good actress I am.

I thought my chest area would magically become firm from all the bouncing around when I run! Boy was I wrong, they are killing me today!

I love it when your arms shake from just trying to raise a spoonful of cereal to your lips, makes you feel nice and strong!
