Yes, I live in Utah county and there are ALWAYS shoe parties. I am not complaining I am just saying a girl can only hold out for so long. I got an invite for one last week and I told Mike that I was going to get me some new boots. He just looked at me with the "mom" look. I swear he does it better then I do. Through out the week I joke that I am buying and he continues with the "look". So as I am leaving I grab my purse give him a smile (which could be considered a mischievous one) and a kiss. He grabs a hold of me and says, "Honey, I have three words for you" I assume he is going to tell me how great I am and that I deserve some new shoes, or express is undying love and devotion to me (which would probably be more then 3 words but whatever) but he simply said, "Oh be Wise" mom look and all. I just smile at him once more and think to myself probably the worst thing you could say to me. I am the worlds best (or worst if you are Mike) justifier when it comes to shopping.
So honey thanks to your advice I thought to myself, "Is it really WISE to buy cute, affordable, comfy,( in a non-walking situation ;) boots"? And the answer after much pondering/talking was "YES"!
*Sorry for those at the party that had to listen to me go back and forth during my pondering period, that was annoying even for me :)

Well did you buy some new boots? If so good for you, I would have done the same thing :)
Maybe I should learn to read a little better, of course you bought the boots!!
Hello!! I'm having a shoe part the 3rd of October. You're supposed to wait and buy them at my party!!! Oh well, let's be real. You probably buy another pair there too!!:)
I've been dying for invite to a shoe party--Haley? What company was it? My neighbors across the street started one. Where's a picture of the boots anyway? Just wear them for Mike on a "special occasion" and he'll forget about it! ;)
:Lindsay, I dropped the dumb camera so now I cant get it to work :) That always seems to help them forget doesn't it! We gotta use what we have I guess ;)
You deserve some cute boots! I'm glad you bought them despite the "mom look." Josh is really good at the mom look too, by the way. And, needless to say, I have lots of boots. He he he
I hope you picked some cute boots. :) I didn't make it to the party. I was very sad. :( Especially because I was REALLY looking forward to the cheese cake.
So you're keeping the boots?!?!?! Good for you! I got home after all that debating and justin said that he loved them-go figure. I don't know if it was the THREE pieces of cheesecake I brought to bribe him with or he truly liked them, but I sure don't care either way :o)
Can't wait to see 'em!
Can we see a photo of the boots? I bet they are nice and will last forever. (That's for Mike)
You are a wise woman indeed! You're so cute.
Yeah, Boots!!! I'm so glad you got them. Do they have shoes for big feet at the shoe party Haley? Apparently Calvin thinks I have big, African MAN feet!!!!
I want to go to a shoe party.... They only make boring shoes for guys. I don't think I could pull of a thigh high boot, and really really don't plan on giving it a try. Kristen has perfect feet. She's 6 feet tall (ok 5' 11" and three quarters), what, she's going to have size 5's? She'd always be falling over, and that would be sad.
lol .....
You're all invited to my shoe part, yes, even you Calvin. (they actually have men, children, and infant shoes there.) Kristen, most shoes go up to a size 10, but some of them have size 11's. I'll email ya'll the details.
Man, I wanted to go to that party. I totally spaced it. I'm looking forward to seeing those boots.
