This morning while I was doing McKennas hair we were pretending that we were in an actual salon. I will do anything to make hair time more enjoyable for them! So as I was pretending to be the Ma'am ( I dont get a name, just Ma'am) McKenna got a real serious tone to her and asked me if you just get to choose one job or if you can change jobs when you are a grown-up. I told her that I have the best job ever but that yes I could do another job if I wanted. She told me that I was a good hair girl and that if I wanted to I could do that. Then when we were about half way through her hair she told me that her braid was too fat so that maybe I shouldn't become a hair girl. I just laughed and told her that I get to be alot of professions without leaving my own house. She wasn't very impressed. Then I realized that yes in fact, I have alot of "jobs" already hair dresser, cook, maid, teacher, nutritionist, tutor, taxi driver, mentor, accountant (okay I am working on this, the budget is something I have yet to master :)And all this and I get to stay at home and get the best payment ever..... hugs, smiles, laughter, kisses, and snuggles. If I could just choose one job it would be the one I already have!

This cracks me up. Kids really do say the darndest things. Being a mom is just like any other job, in that you have your days where you'd like to switch, and then there are the days where it's the best thing ever! Your girls are so cute--how could you want to switch?
Great post - sounds like she's as picky with her hair as you were with yours!! What a wonderful blessing it is to be a stay at home mom. Having seen both sides, trust me, there's nothing out there to compare with it, even the not so great days!!!!
how come i cant follow your page? i can get hollys by typing in her web page but i cant get to yours, the only way i can get to it is through that invite email you sent me weeks ago
Moms are special that way. That truly is the best payment any mom can recieve from her children. Love the post!
