Dear Santa,
I have been a great girl this year and I would like
~ Hannah Montana make-up
~ Hannah Montana music
~ a car to drive, you know the little ones for kids
Love you,
McKenna
Dear Santa,
I am a good girl. For Christmas I would like a
Hannah Montana purse
Hannah Montana lickstip (love it when she says it like this)
Hannah Montana swimming suit
Love,
Brynlee
Seriously..... Hannah Montana anything drives me CRAZY and that is all my girls seem to want this year. I guess their marketing is working. It will be obvious this Christmas that we have a house full of girls! We do have one more problem with these lists. Besides the infatuation with H.M. McKenna is asking for a Power Wheel. Totally and completely not in our "Christmas Budget" I tried to explain to her that Santa probably wouldn't have room in his sleigh for something so big and then she informed me that "of course he does Mommy, he is magic" Every time someone asks her what she wants for Christmas she explains the car. I try to slide in the conversation and let her know that Santa will likely not be giving her the car.She brushes me aside with great confidence that yes in fact, " Santa always brings what you ask for if you have been good". They likely wont even remember what was on their lists come Christmas morning so getting them everything on their list is a none issue but McKenna has been so adamant about this car. What the CORN am I going to do?
Why can't Santa really exist?

Good luck on that one. No ideas for you.
wow. first off, I would like to say that you READ my MIND about the ridiculous H.M. crap. We went to Wal-Mart saturday and I could NOT believe how many products had Hannah Montana's face PLASTERED all over them. From snow boots to FOOD! Preslie asked me if I would buy her some Hannah Montana raisins. For crying out loud!
ok, you have a major dilemma. I remember wanting a barbie corvette power wheels when i was little and i didn't get one. (i think part of the reason was those cars have an 80 lb. limit and I weighed 80 lbs. ...not exactly something that grows with your child.) It wasn't the end of the world. I think kids see the first thing they like and that is what they ask Santa for. I think you are right that on Christmas morning, it will be water under the bridge. My kids asked for stuff they are not getting because Santa knows best. You know what she will like and what will work for your budget. Go with that and then don't worry!
Happy H.M. new year!
hi, i didn't think my comment was long enough so i'm back for more.
Maybe you could get your girls one big present to all of them from Santa.
ok, I go now.
Make a car out of cardboard, electrical tape and bottle caps and tell her that the elves must've been drunk
lol......
Anybody have bottle caps?
I can see McKenna now with a cardboard car!! Probably crying. But it is a good idea. I HATE Hannah Montana!!
HM is a spawn of satan! I was also at "The WalMart" on Saturday trying to get some games and I was disappointed at how many games are HM. HM Monopoly, Clue, checkers, what the heck? What happened to just checkers? Why do we need Hannah Montana's face all over everything. IT's not like she's cool like strawberry shortcake dolls or cabage patches.
Good luck with the power car. Heart breaking when she has been good and wants to be rewarded from Santa.
Good luck with that. I'm curious to see what happens.
wow, good luck with that one! I would agree with everyone one on all the HM stuff. My girls are also obsessed, but what dod youdo?
I don't know how you feel about used stuff, but KSL classifieds can have some cool stuff in like new condition for super good prices sometimes. I am kind of picky, it has to be in super good shape for me to get it. Anyway...good luck! I am also boycotting H.M. and High School Musical too.
Hey, just tell your kids what I told mine...everyone in the world is having a hard time with money and that makes it hard for Santa to get all the supplies he needs to make everything. That's why we ask for multiples things on our Santa list....that way Santa can make sure we get at least one thing we ask for. It seemed to satisfy William...and he's the king of questions.
I told my kids the same thing as Annika. Hey, let them share in the economic crisis, right. My brothers and I always wanted one of those cars and never got one. Now that I'm a parent, I totally know why. Good luck and I'm sure they'll be thrilled on Christmas morning. I was 12 before I cried.
Missed your BLOG while my computer was sick (with another stinkin' virus!) Tyler was wishing for a Cars bed tent (goes on top of their bed) I could not find them anywhere, and I spent 2 days looking & calling around (even Ebay) Finally found ONE left at the last Kmart in Utah--but he's got it. Mikepicked it up, and turns out to be a little different than the one he saw in the ad, but Santa improvises you know. I asked him if it would be ok if I couldn't find it this year, and he relpied: "It's ok mom, the Elves can make ANYTHING!" And he has really been taking the good behavior thing to the next level--he's making his bed & Bailey's every morning! Tough times--you should have worked harder for one of those cars on Black Friday! (*BIG WINK*) How 'bout are bligging game night already?!
It's now more than when I was a kid that I really do wish that Santa was real. It would make Christmas sooo much cheaper!!
