Ready or Not...Here We Come!

It is official we registered for the 1/2 marathon in Hobble Creek this August. We have been running about 4.5 miles a day so I think.....I think....... I think that we will be able to have the time to train properly. Right now I cant even imagine going our route 3 times (once does me in:) Slowly but surley is the ticket I guess! I'll let you know how that goes :) Just in case someone out there wants to join us the registration began today so HURRY! (Michelle C. , I am talking especially to you) www.srcevents.com/hobblecreek/registration.

Oh shoot! Thanks for the confidence in me... I have still got to look more into it! And I think that I may need to invest in an i-pod to help out with the training! Are you running in the mornings or afrernoon? Outside or inside? Ok...let me know if you have any suggestions for me so that I can be more motivated to do it with you! Thanks Tiff!

Shelly,
I am glad you got the hint! We run in the mornings 4 times a week. M,T,Th, Fri. Wed is a cross train day. We are going to do longer runs on Saturday starting soon. You have plenty of time to train just start off doing whatever you can do and build from there. I am shocked what a few weeks can do! Find a running buddy, an i-pod or whatever and tell yourself that you can do it and start moving those sexy legs! Let me know how it goes :)

Oh yeah, we run outside its freezing when we start(5:30 a.m.) but so nice to feel the fresh air! Once you get used to waking up and going to bed at a descent time its not bad at all!

Congrats! I'm so jealous of you guys. I wish I could join, but I don't really think running a marathon counts as postpartum recovery!! You can do it Shelly. (And just for the record she does have sexy legs. I would kill for her calves!! :)
